Celebrating Life

The Great Escape: April and May 2014

This time last year I was getting a wee bit nervous because a whole 12 months earlier I had promised myself 2013 would be different but it wasn’t.

April and May came by and while I didn’t bury myself in the sads, I knew I couldn’t keep repeating this pattern. I owe it to my family and to my beloved to move on.

Well I got to March 2014 and up popped a great opportunity to go to Italy for ongoing professional development. Not just any old development either; looks like sitting around feeling sad and sorry in April May wont be mine this year after all.

I told the kids and from that conversation there was no turning back; they had it all booked and paid for within the week to the tune of “I can’t believe it’s all booked and worked out so easily within a week”.

Ah the earth moves when the time is right! I will be a part of a workshop, Healing as a Mystical Science  with Caroline Myss, author of The Anatomy of Spirit. I Am off to Italy!

I do not hang my hat on any religion, but I do live by the precepts of my teacher and am  inspired by the stories of the world’s many saints, aspirants and buddhas. St Francis of Assisi is one of them, and when I read of the chance to walk the sacred paths and visit the sacred sites of Assisi on a 14 day pilgrimage, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. If you don’t know too much about Assisi, this page is a great place to start.

In the spirit of the pilgrim, I would be happy to collect and offer the prayers and petitions of people unable to undertake the pilgrimage themselves. Please don’t hesitate to ask me to offer prayers on your behalf or for those you love and care for, contact me here.

Continuing professional development keeps me up to date with knowledge and skills to help me to be a better teacher and counsellor.

Continuing personal development helps me to grow and become more adept at living – at just being.

Sometimes in life that is all that’s needed don’t you agree? It helps me to celebrate my life, celebrate the days and be at one (with all there is).

It will be four years this month since my beloved left the earth plane, yet I am in no doubt that my life is still subtly guided by his hand: This year though, I think it was his foot?

Lots of love!
