Celebrating Life

Spring Equinox A Time To Move On

The sun will now rise a little earlier and go down a little later each day for us in Australia now the Spring Equinox has been and gone, 22nd September. I find it a great time to plan, to clear out and to let the sun shine in, I Am ready to dream again of good times to come.

I really am so happy to see spring around my place – the blossoms are about to burst – the roses are budding – I can watch the grass grow it happens so fast – it is a time of beauty in nature.

Soon to come are the long balmy nights, the walks, the bird song, the greenery. I really need it too I have been so sad of late.

The weeping elm I wrote of at the beginning of winter is now showing signs of life once more, as Am I after a few weeks downtime.  It has been a few weeks of retreat since my father passed away. My sister and I gathered his possessions, we cleaned his home and now we have handed the house back to the Housing Ministry. That was very hard you know, to hand back the keys to the house I grew up in, but it’s done now.

My mother and father made a lovely home, never once did we not consider it ours, but he had lived there for 62 years and rent was always paid on time and the house was always well maintained. They had very little and yet they produced 4 children, 3 of which went on to have successful happy lives (the eldest died in a car accident at the age of 29), they could not have imagined. I Am so grateful for my humble beginnings, and I miss them dearly.

But still the house was not theirs, and it is hard to express to you how that feels to me just now, but I know another family will enter that door and may they enjoy the welcoming energies we have left for them.

I am ready to get back to work now and am looking forward to it, I Am feeling a whole lot better now.

How have you been, is it a time of Spring cleaning for you, metaphorically speaking?
